Presenting my Valve Trombone. This is a Blessing USA with case and Blessing 61/2 AL Mouthpiece. In 1947 the Conn Cales Rep loaned me a Conn Valve trombone and I fell in love with it. My parents could not afford to buy it as they had recently bought me a New Conn Cornet. This is my third Vbone. This horn is in excellent condition with some wear to the laquer from use–most of it is where it rubs on my collar. Good valves with good compression, all slides free. Some scratches and bumps–no dents or wrinkles. Has never been repaired. Included is the Blessing MP–I use a Parduba and Sons double cup MP for brighter sound and range but that is a personal choice. Case is in good shape — all latches work and has two handles. You may be interested in this horn if you play jazz or if you play a trumpet or other valve instrument. Also good as a solo horn. I did my best to picture the trombone from all angles to give you the best idea of the overall condition. Bell is a brass Color with Conn USA with 3 marching men with instruments below some stars. Up near the handle slide and mouth piece is marked Director, Mouth Piece is marked Conn 3. The slide moves in and out with ease and works great. There is some rust pitting on some exposed bare metal near where the brace arms go across the body and bell. this is a bach 16 bell mated to a yamaha .508 slide. the connecting part at the end of the bach gooseneck was removed and replaced by an equivalent yamaha part so that the slide fits the bell perfectly!! the slide is smooth and the horn blows well. the bell is unlacquered, u can leave it like that and clean it once in awhile w/flitz/brasso,or go down to home depot and by a can of clear lacquer and spray it yourself. after u clean the horn, be sure to wipe it down w/acetone before lacquering. also the bell is convertable, u can add an “f” section if u’ve got the bucks. there’s one TINY dent on the bell, if i didn’t tell u, u might miss it. the case is a conn case and it’s in like new condition, the horn fits just right in it. because of the hassle of determining shipping costs these days, u the buyer will have to arraign for ups/fed express to p/u the horn from my house and obviously to pay for the shipping-this way there will be no conflicts over what was the cost for shipping, and of course if u are in south fla, come on down to the keys and eliminate the shipping costs. questions: email me thru ebay, regards z9z9 oh yeh the price? $500.00 it’s worth more, but in this economy that’s the price.
