This is a great condition used Holton TR680 Model Professional Trigger Trombone. Keyed F and B flat. Red Brass Bell for that warm TONE! Lacquer is 99% with no wear whatsoever. Just a couple of small dings on horn. There are a few small lacquer chips around bell flare. This horn was hardly used. 9 Inch Bell is in Great condition with no previous repairs or creases. Small dents on bell tube (see photos) Slide is like greased lightning and inner slide is almost perfect in condition. No work is needed for this instrument to play great right out of the box! Tuning slides pull fine as they should. Comes in original Case in very good condition with Holton Mouthpiece in very good shape. Original Paperwork in case along with cleaning rod. Up for auction is my Vintage Holton TR180 Dependant Bass Trombone, Complete with Glantz Bar Trigger mechanism and rare D Tuning Slide. Serial Number is 588182 which dates this horn back to around the Mid 80’s. Trombone is in very good overall condition for its age. This horn blows effortlessly and has an enormous big warm sound at all dynamics. I mainly used this horn for orchestral and musicals which it blends in with beautifully. The Glantz Bar is very effective once you get used to it, I was going to have split triggers fitted but found it wasn’t necessary. There is some wear and tear Issues I need to point out which unfortunately comes with an instrument of over 25 years old. BELL SECTION has plating loss / scratches in areas. SLIDE SECTION Inner tubes have very slight plating loss which does not affect the slide when lubed up ( 8/10 ). Specification:- Bell 10” Gold Brass Soldered Heavy Gauge for centered sound and projection. This Bell produces a beautiful dark warm sound and also has that classic Holton edge when pushed. Bore 0.562 Large Bore Valves Dependant F /D Slide Lightweight Nickel Silver plated outer. . This is a really Classic Bass Trombone that is no longer produced any more by Holton, so your chance to own one the most underrated Trombones ever made. I hope I have described the condition of this horn as clear as possible and that the pictures reflect this, please ask on anything unclear as returns will not be accepted. This is a 1987 Holton TR602RW Trombone with Case. It is a hard sided case. The other numbers on the trombone is 030042. It was used by one person from the 6th grade thru the 12th grade. The second picture shows the items including the mouth piece that are included in the case. The third and fourth pictures show the wear on the horn and the last picture is showing the symbol on the side. It would be a great starter horn for a beginner.
