This amazing trombone was played at the 60th anniversary of D-Day concert in Normandy France for a huge crowd, many world leaders including President Bush. Serial # 208xxx – Circa 1937 7″ Bell .481-.491 Dual Bore Offered here is a great playing professional early vintage HN White King 2B Trombone made in Cleveland OH. There are only a few minor dings/dents on the instrument and some finish wear. Over-all I consider this trombone to be in good condition for its age. The inner slide tubes are in great shape with NO WEAR THROUGH – the slide action is excellent! The tuning slide moves freely and the water key functions fine. This trombone is a real thrill to play! Outstanding tone which is warmer than many other 2B’s I have played and the intonation is good. This trombone would make a great Big Band or Dixie horn! Comes with the original King case which is in nice condition. There is no mouthpiece. This trombone is being sold with NO RESERVE! This instrument was serviced not long ago and is ready to play! King 4B Trombone, Sonorous. With F-Attachment. Beautiful late 70′s model, S/N 729670. Played for 2 years, 1978-80, then put away in my closet. Yellow brass, nickel-silver outer slides, large 0.547″ bore. Slide is smooth, all tuning slides move easily. No dents anywhere. Some minor scratches, and one “freckle” where the laquer didn’t cover; overall the horn is very clean. The horn was wiped down after every use and put away. Never sat out. Comes with a new Benge 6-1/2 mouthpiece, and hardshell case. Case has some minor scuffs from use, but overall condition is very good or better. Because I realize this is a lot of money and it’s hard to make that kind of decision based on my word and a dozen pictures, so I have videotaped the horn, case, etc and put it on youtube so you can get a better idea of the wonderful shape this horn is in.
