Up for sale is a King 3B valve trombone in silver. I have had this in my closet for at least 8 years and just haven't played it much, so it needs to go. I mainly play trumpet and thought I might use it as a doubling instrument. There is also a 3B slide in lacquer that has decent stockings and may be serviceable. It is fairly smooth, but I haven't used it. Consider the slide a throw in. The valve trombone is in very good condition. Valves are like new with excellent compression. No dents, all slides pull with nice action. Silver is 99%, just a little wear in the hand-hold area. Some tiny pings on the bell, probably hard to see, and that don't affect playability and are not really noticeable. I seem to be having trouble locating the serial number; if someone tells me where in the heck it is I will post it. My guess is the horn is about 20 years old or so. Comes with the case in decent shape. Shipping is $55 in the lower 48 states. FedEx wants a recipient phone number to ship; if the winning bidder doesn't give it to me I will insert my cell. 3B's are about the best valve trombones around, new ones are over $1700 street price. This is a VERY NICE Edwards symphonic trombone. The Edwards instruments have made a big splash in the trombone world in the last 15 years or so-rapidly becoming one of the most widely played instruments in symphony orchestra all over the world. This is a terrific example of a fine Edwards symphonic trombone. It features a 320CF bell (rose brass, 22 gauge, tempered), rose brass tuning slide and includes one Edwards leadpipe. This instrument is also equiped with the Thayer valve and the standard .547 bore nickel-silver lightweight slide. The instrument is in excellent condition. There are no serious dents that I can see though there are minor scars in the bell where a wrinkle was removed. There are some very minor surface marks from play, but other than that the hrn is gorgeous. Slide is excellent with practically no wear ( see pic) and no dings or catches.
