FOR SALE — Yamaha Trombone My son has decided not to play band anymore So – we are selling his trombone. He has played in the middle school band for 2 years and this Trombone has served him well! He was 2nd chair and the instrument played like a charm! We bought this used two years ago. This instrument was kept in a great environment, always well cleaned and slides were well oiled. This comes with a cleaning/oil kit as well. I don’t have his first band book, but I do have Year 2 if you’d like it. If you know your child is going to play for a few years, buying is the way to go! We saved hundreds of dollars by not renting. Ask me any questions. There is a little discoloration on the brass. ( I suppose that could be polished) It was like that when we bought it. A few dents too. But it doesn’t impact the sound or performance of the instrument. It plays really well. My son’s band teacher didn’t want his students buying “Off” brands, because they don’t always play well. This is 100% YAMAHA! Yamaha YSL-354 Tenor Trombone. Includes Hard Case and Two Mouthpieces. This instrument was very well taken care of. It was used by two middle school students over a span of about five years. Light cosmetic blemishes but no dents and only a few minor scratches. No rust but two pea-sized areas at the tip of the slide where finish has chipped slightly. The main slide as well as the tuning slide work and fit together very well. “YAMAHA” brand on the counter-weight. The slide LOCK is not functioning but my son reports that this was easy to get used to. The case has two cracks which have been repaired and are holding up fine. All locks and hinges work fine, although there is a slight misalignment at one end (does not affect closure). This is an excellent buy for any beginner or player who wants to keep in practice. It has excellent sound and is easy to play.
