Approximate Dimensions: 7" Bell Diameter 46" Over All Length When Joined This trombone was acquired recently at a bankruptcy auction at Bennigan's restaurant in Ann Arbor Michigan. The horn was part of the wall decor, put in place in 1982. Only the case was screwed to the wall. The horn is undamaged in this regard. Please rely on the photos provided, what visual description I am able to offer, but primarily use your own better knowledge and expertise in making your bidding evaluations. I make a point of finding interesting items to present in this auction format, but I'm not always aware of the finer points. Ask questions when need be. Beyond an initial, light cleaning for this presentation this item is being presented just as I found it and is sold "as is". There are a few notable dents and several others that are insignificant and simply to be expected with use and age, (see photos). Most of the dents are relatively shallow, nothing is crushed or dented so severly that it would impede the functionality of the instrument. The casing of the slide has a few tiny dimple dents, very shallow, none interupting the smooth flow of the slide moving in and out. The bell of the horn has retained its round shape. There is some loss of lacquer and areas that have taken on a very light amount of surface rust. I will leave it up to you how to best treat the cleaning and refurbishing of the trombone. Other scuffs and scratches abound throughout the instrument's surface. The case had been screwed into the wall at two or three points with long drywall screws. The holes are small and the case is solid. The exterior shows much wear and age. There is no mouthpiece to include. I believe you will find this instrument to be worthy of whatever effort is needed to improve its appearance and bring it to its full playing potential. The packaged shipping weight is 12 pounds.
