This auction is for a Blessing B-88-0 F-Attachment Trombone (SN 532631) that is in excellent overall condition in the factory case with a Bach 6-1/2AL mouthpiece as shown.I need to tell you that my knowledge of trombones is somewhat limited, and I do not play the instrument. However, I have sold several on eBay over the last ten years (including numerous Yamaha, Conn, and Blessing) and have never had one returned or questioned with regard to the instrument's condition. There is a fairly large dent in the top of the rear section of the bell (see yellow arrows in pictures showing dent). I believe it could be easily removed by a qualified horn technician, but I will leave that up to the buyer. Otherwise, the instrument is in excellent used condition (see pictures). The f-trigger feels to operate very smoothly. The slides are very smooth (including the tuning slides). Being that this is a used instrument, please assume that it might need a minor adjustment (it quite possibly will play just fine as it is, but I am erring on the side of caution). However, I will guarantee the instrument not to have any major problems. The factory carrying case is in very nice condition, and the fasteners operate properly. Please review the pictures as they describe the instrument much better than words. I will guarantee the instrument to be as described or your money back! This is the model Yamaha developed with Ian Bousfield, principal trombonist with the Vienna Philharmonic. The slide is superbly smooth, and it has a gold brass bell, which gives it a warmer, darker tone than you might expect from a Yamaha trombone without f attachment. I am getting rid of my lightly used King Trombone. I purchased this trombone a few years ago, but I only actually used it for a few months. It has been sitting in my instrument closet for the past few years just waiting to be played. It is in good condition. Here’s a good deal. You’ll have fun with this pre-owned Yamaha YSL-643II trigger trombone with a rose bell. The serial number is 010047. As I understand it, this was Yamaha’s answer to the Conn 88H. It has; string linkage, 8 3/8” rose bell, scratches, 70-80% of its original finish, free moving tuning slides, mouthpiece and a Yamaha woodshell case. The trigger is in solid condition and all the inner tubing is in good shape. It has a ding here and there but nothing major. The bell has a little dent on the edge (see pic/easy fix) and so does the end of the slide. Stamped on the trombone it reads “YSL-643II 010047.” On the slide it reads “Yamaha YSL-354 Japan.” The slide is slick but I’m not sure, because of the different model numbers, if it is original. If you know, email me. I’m curious. Me? I’m not a music store or repairman. Looking for instruments and getting them into the hands of players is a hobby of mine. I’ve never come across one of these. I’m not a trombone player but as is it would be good enough for me. That said, since whoever buys this will probably be an advanced player, I’d guess you’d want to have your tech give it a complete going over to get in tip-top, swinging shape. You know, give it a pro cleaning, work slide, remove dings, retie string, etc… If you’re reading this ad then you realize how prized these are. It sounds cool. I'll ship it like you see it. There are a few small dents from wear on the bell, but not too bad or noticable. It comes with the case which is in great shape.
